When I first heard about wedding invitation kits I was a bit overwhelmed. My younger daughter helped me to figure out how to go about them. I designed the wedding invitation set for my own wedding and it was sheer fun. I wanted to give personal touch to the wedding invitations and hence chose to design them on my own. The internet was helpful in finding the right design and coordinating the colors. Making my own wedding invitation gave me immense satisfaction and also charmed my guests.

I recently visited a friend’s wedding where the decoration of the reception table left me speechless. From the table cloth to the table runner to the centerpieces everything was so coordinated that all the guests were quite impressed. The bride is an interior decorator and that showed in the way she has designed her own wedding.

I never knew that ostrich feathers can be used as centerpieces till I saw them in a wedding. They were beautifully arranged in vases. They made great centerpieces. Dyed in different colors they really complemented the wedding theme.

I have a fetish for chandeliers. When planning the decoration for my wedding I wanted to make it formal and chandeliers were a great way to add a touch of style to it. I went to a wedding where the wedding cake topper made the guests spill with laughter. It showed the groom falling asleep during the wedding with the bride trying hard to keep him awake. Wedding cake toppers can be really funny and you can show the world your funny side with the toppers.

I have a bookmark which was the wedding favor of my parents’ wedding. My parents’ names are engraved on it. I have kept it as a memento. I have also decided to design a similar bookmark for my own wedding. The best part of the story is that most of my guests and acquainted are bookworm but they have not yet embraced e-readers. They prefer books over these gadgets.
